Present are 50 plates and 2 maps, 54 plates and 3 maps are called for so lacks 4 plates and a map. A third of one map is missing, and the other large folding map is torn; of the plates 6 are torn and three othres are half missing or more. Page 99-102 are loss. Bound in contemporary half calf, very worn and rubbed, calf split along spines, marbled bds. The plates are wonderful and the text is readable and fresh.
